The registers required by this chapter shall at all times be kept open to the inspection of the chief of police and the sheriff of the county or the deputy of either, to any officer of the police department, to the municipal counselor and to the district attorney, and to anyone authorized in writing for that purpose by the chief of the police department, exhibiting that authority to the pawnbroker. The pawnbroker shall, upon request, show and exhibit any article or articles purchased, taken or received by him to the authorized person or officer for inspection. (Ord. 519 §7, 1981)
