5.34.030: APPLICATION AND BOND FOR LICENSE:
A.   Information And Form: Each applicant for a city pawnshop license shall file an application therefor. Such application shall be in the same form and contain the same information as required for a state pawnbroker's license; provided, however, in addition thereto, the applicant shall further be required to state the name and address of all owners, officers and stockholders, and shall notify the city of any changes of such persons during the term of or renewal of a license.
B.   Amount Of Bond: Every person applying for a license to engage in or carry on the business of pawnbroker shall, before the license is issued to him, enter into a bond with the city, with approved sureties, in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), conditioned that the applicant will strictly observe all laws, regulations and requirements in relation to pawnbrokers or their business, and will pay all costs, fines and penalties incurred on account of his failure or neglect in that regard and will pay all damages to any person by reason of the pawnbroker wrongfully taking, purchasing or receiving in pledge or on deposit any stolen property, or the property of any minor.
C.   Filing Of Bond: The bond shall be filed with the city clerk and may be sued upon by any person damaged as aforesaid in the name of the city for the benefit of such person, but in no event shall the city be liable for the costs of such suit. (Ord. 519 §4, 1981)
