A. No person, firm, association or corporation shall, as principal or agent, engage in or carry out the business of contracting for plumbing, heat and air, or electrical services within the City without first having been issued a plumbing, heat and air, or electrical contractor's license from the City.
B. Heat and air contractors shall be required to present documentation that they are currently licensed by the State of Oklahoma and to pay a one hundred twenty five dollar ($125.00) license fee to the City Clerk's Office in order to be issued a heat and air contractor's license from the City.
C. Electrical contractors applying for a license to perform services within the duty, said application being made and said work to be performed and completed prior to July 1, 1988, shall be required to present documentation to the City Clerk's Office that they are currently licensed by the State of Oklahoma, a license and permit bond in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) naming the City as obligee, and current liability insurance with a minimum coverage of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), and to pay a license fee in the amount of one hundred twenty five dollars ($125.00) in order to be issued an electrical contractor's license from the City. Effective July 1, 1988, electrical contractors applying for a license to perform services within the City shall no longer be required to procure a license and permit bond naming the City as obligee nor to furnish a copy of their liability insurance policy with minimum limit of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), but shall be required, upon said date, to present documentation that they are currently licensed by the State of Oklahoma.
D. Plumbing contractors applying for a license to perform services within the City shall be required to present documentation to the City that they are currently licensed by the State of Oklahoma, a license and permit bond in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) naming the City as obligee, and current liability insurance with a minimum coverage of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), and shall be required to pay a license fee in the amount of one hundred twenty five dollars ($125.00) in order to be issued a plumbing contractor's license from the City.
