The purpose of this chapter shall be to establish the policies which have been adopted by the City of Warr Acres regarding the determination of delinquency and the declaration that a utility account has not been paid such that the services provided to the account holder/property by the City of Warr Acres may be terminated. This chapter provides for the mandatory process for the declaration of a delinquency, including establishing the rights of the account holder and/or property owner to contest the declaration of a delinquency, to arraign for payment of amounts due and/or to consent to the termination of utility service(s). This chapter also establishes the process for coordination with any other public utility providers (e.g., City of Oklahoma City vis-a-vis water service) who may be requested to terminate 1 their utility service to the subject account/property so that the termination of service provided herein may be in effect.
