A. There shall be a twenty five dollar ($25.00) service charge imposed on the issuer and collected by the city for the handling on any checks or other negotiable instruments when payment thereon is not received when demand is made.
B. The city clerk may charge and collect from the issuer of any dishonored checks or other negotiable instruments which are returned to the city from any bank or depository institution, the fee prescribed in subsection A of this section. (Ord. 890 §1, 1999: Ord. 594 §1, 1984)
