§ 33.07 ETHICS OFFICER.
   To the extent authorized by law and to the extent required by § 70-5 of the Act (5 ILCS 430/70- 5), the President is appointed to serve as the Ethics Officer of the village. The Ethics Officer shall provide guidance to the officers and employees of the village concerning the interpretation of and compliance with the provisions of this section and state ethics laws. In the case of a conflict of interest or other circumstances which prevent the President from acting as Ethics Officer, the Village Attorney shall take his or her place in providing guidance on matters implicating this section or state ethics laws.
