Any permit or certificate issued under a false statement shall be void. Whenever the fact of such false statement shall be established, said certificate shall be revoked by notice in writing to be delivered to the holder of the void certificate concerned or in some conspicuous place upon the premises. Any person who shall proceed thereafter with any work or use without having obtained a new permit or certificate in accordance with this chapter shall be deemed to be guilty of a violation of this chapter.
