1040.15 BUILDING SEWER PERMITS AND CHARGES.
   (a)   The following connection charges shall be based upon Ohio EPA's Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) Schedule A. The connection charge shall be based upon that of a standard residence having an assumed EDU=1. The rate for a standard residence connection shall be three hundred twenty dollars ($320.00) plus fifty dollars ($50.00) inspection fee. For connection charges other than standard residence, shall be prorated with the following EDU Schedule; but shall not be less than three hundred twenty dollars ($320.00) plus fifty dollars ($50.00) inspection fee per connection. Connection charges shall also apply when making additions to any commercial or industrial facility in accordance with the EDU Schedule A.
   (b)   Apartment facilities shall be construed to be included as a commercial facility for the purpose of determining connection charges. Connection charges, if any, for entire subdivisions and/or sewer districts, shall be as negotiated by the Director of Public Service and Safety and as approved by City Council.

         Where more than one of the uses set forth in said Schedule A exist for a particular parcel of property, the sum of each of the separate uses shall be used to determine the total number of benefits.
         **Example:   Building 10 2-bedroom apartments.
                  10 x .75 = 7.50 x $320.00 = $2,400 + $50 inspection fee = $2,450.
