648.09 MINORS' CURFEW.
   (a)   No person under 18 years of age shall be or remain upon any street, alley or other public place, in the City, or loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in any public place of amusement or entertainment, vacant lot or other unsupervised place, in the City, during the period from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. of the following day, except that such period on Friday and Saturday shall be from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 a.m. of the following day, provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any such person under 18 years of age who is accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of such person under 18 years of age, or where any such person under 18 years of age is upon an emergency errand, or where any such person under 18 years of age is traveling directly to or from his or her place of employment.
   (b)   No parent, guardian or other adult person having the legal custody of a person under 18 years of age, shall allow or permit such person under 18 years of age to go or be upon any street, alley or other public place, in the City, or allow or permit such person under 18 years of age to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in any public place of amusement or entertainment, vacant lot or other unsupervised place, in the City, as restricted in division (a) of this section, except as provided therein.
   (c)   Whoever, being a minor under 18 years of age, violates any of the provisions of this section, shall be dealt with in accordance with Juvenile Court law and procedure.
   (d)   Whoever, being an adult, violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
