636.21 BEGGING.
   (a)   No person shall wander about and beg in the street, or from house to house, or sit, stand or take a position in any public place and beg from passersby either by words, by the exhibition of a sign, by gesture, by singing, by playing a musical instrument, or by exhibiting such articles as shoestrings, lead pencils or cheap merchandise of any description.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
