618.105 RABIES IMMUNIZATION.
   (a)   Confining and Immunization of Dogs. All dogs within the City limits are to be immunized against the prevalent disease of rabies. Uniform immunization tags that can be easily recognized shall be placed upon such dogs. Any dog caught at large which has not been handled in the foregoing manner shall be impounded and disposed of according to law.

   (b)   Confining and Immunization of Cats. All pet cats shall be immunized against rabies. Immunization tags shall be placed upon such cats. Any known pet cat not so immunized shall be kept impounded by the owner or legal agencies, and, if not immunized by the owner, the cat shall be destroyed.

   (c)   Penalty. Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
