The Sewage Treatment Department shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sewage treatment and disposal plant and for the inspection and regulation of the use of public and private sewers and drains, private disposal systems, installations and connections of building sewers, and the discharge of water and wastes into the public sewer system and natural outlets in the City.
