The purpose of the National Electrical Code, as adopted in Section 1426.01, is to provide specifications for safeguarding persons and dwellings, buildings and other structures and the contents of dwellings, buildings and other structures from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signaling and other purposes.
