(A) The city shall allow the use, occupancy, or location of manufactured homes only in areas zoned for mixed residential and such other areas as approved by the City Council, provided that owners have
obtained the proper permits and inspection(s) as required by this chapter.
(B) Manufactured homes are designed as dwelling units for humans. Consequently, when a manufactured home becomes uninhabitable for humans, it will be removed from the city and properly disposed of. Temporarily vacant manufactured homes may not be used for storage, animal shelter, warehouse, shop, manufacturing, retail sales, restaurant, hotel/motel, or any other purpose other than its original design and purpose. Existing manufactured homes that are being used for storage will be allowed to remain as storage units. Existing units may not be replaced at a location and shall be maintained by the owner while being used for storage. Existing units that have become deteriorated, have been damaged, or otherwise fall to ruin, shall be removed by the owner and the lot cleaned.
