(A) The City Council deems that it is necessary and expedient to the city and to the best interests of the city to set the following rules regarding use of the Walters Skateboard Park Facility.
(1) Use this park at your own risk. This is a high risk activity and is non-supervised. The city does not assume any responsibility for injuries that may occur during the use of this park.
(2) No bicycles permitted.
(3) The park is open to all patrons, but it is strongly recommended that children under ten years of age be accompanied by a parent or guardian,
(4) There is no charge to use this facility.
(5) Skate park hours: Daily 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. No usage from 10:01 p.m. to 7:59 a.m. Violators will be prosecuted.
(6) Safety gear such as helmets, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, and gloves must be worn at all times.
(7) No profanity, drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, weapons, or defacing public property.
(8) No glass containers.
(9) No motorized equipment allowed (except motorized wheel chairs).
(10) Keep noise to a minimum. No loud music.
(11) Keep food and drink off skate surface. Use trash receptacles.
(12) Use only obstacles put in place by the city. No using trash cans, makeshift or homemade items as obstacles.
(13) Do not use facility if hazardous conditions exist including rain, snow, or ice.
(14) Do not overcrowd facility.
(15) Horseplay, fighting, or other destructive behavior prohibited.
(B) All skaters and visitors must follow these rules or you will be asked to leave. This facility is provided for all of you. Keeping it open is everyone’s responsibility.
(C) Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, vandalism, or violators to the City Hall.
