§ 96.99  PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this code for which another penalty is not specifically provided shall be subject to § 10.99.
   (B)   Any violation of §§ 96.01 through 96.10 shall be issued by the Fire Marshall and subject the responsible party to the following penalties: any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter, or fail to comply therewith, or who shall violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted or approved thereunder, or any certificate or permit issued thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $500 or imprisoned for not more than 30 days and shall subject the violator to a civil penalty in the sum of $500 for each occurrence.  Each and every day the violation continues shall be a separate and distinct offense and/or occurrence.  Each citation shall be paid within 72 hours of issuance.  The town may also, and in addition to, seek any and all appropriate equitable remedies, injunctions, and/or abatement orders from the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction.
