(A) The Fire Chief has the authority to accept contributions to the city Fire Department. Such contributions shall be used for the purchase of equipment or property for use by the city Fire Department. All contributions shall be made of record and such records made available to the Mayor or City Council upon request.
(B) Any contribution of firefighting equipment or contributions of personal or real property to the Fire Department shall become the property of the city.
