§ 31.21  ASSOCIATE MUNICIPAL JUDGE.
   (A)   Creation.  Pursuant to Article VI, Section 6 of the City Charter, the office of Associate Municipal Judge is created.
   (B)   Powers and duties.  The Associate Municipal Judge shall have the same powers and duties as the presiding Municipal Court Judge, as provided in Article VI, Section 3 of the City Charter.
   (C)   Minutes.  The minutes of the proceedings of the Associate Municipal Judge shall be kept by the Municipal Clerk.
   (D)   Appointment.  Pursuant to Article VI, Section 6 of the City Charter, the Associate Municipal Judge shall be appointed in the same manner and for the same term length as prescribed in Article VI, Section 2 of the City Charter.  The Associate Municipal Judge shall be appointed every two years by Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Council.  The Associate Municipal Judge shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Council.  The Associate Municipal Judge shall receive such compensation as shall be prescribed by the City Council.
