§ 38.09  POSTING OF INAPPROPRIATE OR UNPROFESSIONAL MATERIAL.
   (A)   Purpose.  The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines prohibiting the use of electronic media which brings discredit or embarrassment to the employee or agency.
   (B)   Effective immediately, no city employee will post for public, private, or restricted viewing, any image, document, or other media format on any public or private electronic internet or intranet hosted site that may tend to bring either the  employee or the city into disrepute. Any currently posted material that may tend to bring either the employee or the city into disrepute will immediately be removed from the public, private, or restricted electronic internet or intranet hosted site. All city employees shall be held accountable for their actions, conduct, and speech when their behaviors conflict with city policies. Employees who cause undue embarrassment, damage the reputation of the city, and/or erode the public’s confidence in the city shall be deemed to have violated this policy.
