(A) This section shall be known and may be cited as the ordinance regulating the use of King Park and related facilities.
(B) Any group, organization, or individual wanting to use the Park or related facilities for commercial, political, fraternal or any other type activity not normally associated with regular activities of a park, will submit a written request to the City Administrator which states the individual, group or organization name; the date or dates of requested use of the Park; descriptions of function that request is made for; hours of use for each day requested. The written request shall be reviewed by the City Administrator, who shall either grant or deny the request confirmed by the Mayor. The written request shall be submitted to the City Administrator no less than 72 hours prior to the date of the requested use of the facilities. Failure to file an application 72 hours in advance will not result in automatic denial of the permit, provided that the applicant shows reasonable grounds why the application could not be filed 72 hours in advance.
(C) Each individual, group, or organization authorized by Council to use the Park or related facilities will provide the city with a certificate of insurance for a commercial general liability policy in the amount as provided on a fee schedule maintained by the City Secretary, adopted by the City Council from time to time, per occurrence, and as provided on a fee schedule maintained by the City Secretary, adopted by the City Council from time to time, aggregate from an insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Texas, before any use of the Park or related facility takes place.
