§ 95.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.  When not inconsistent with the context, words so used in the present tense include the future, words in the masculine include the feminine, words in the plural include the singular, and words in the singular include the plural.
   DISCRIMINATORY HOUSING PRACTICE.  An act that is unlawful under §§ 95.02 through 95.04.
   DWELLING. Any building, structure, or portion thereof which is occupied as or designated and intended for occupancy as a residence by one or more families, or any vacant land which is offered for sale or lease for the construction or location thereon of any building, structure, or portion thereof.
   FAMILY.  Includes a single individual.
   PERSON. Includes one or more individuals, corporations, partnerships, associations, labor organizations, legal representatives, mutual companies, joint stock companies, trusts, unincorporated organizations, trustees, fiduciaries, and any other organization or entity of whatever character.
   TO RENT.  Includes to rent, lease, sublease, let, or otherwise grant for a consideration, the right to occupy premises not owned by the occupant.
