§ 71.02  BUS LOADING ZONES.
   (A)   The City Council establishes by this section a school bus loading zone adjacent to the Wake Village Elementary School.  The school bus loading zone shall be located on the southernmost side of Rozzell Avenue, as further described in Chapter 73, Schedule II, and as shown by the plat attached to Ordinance 1-82.  The zone shall be prominently marked at each end, with signs indicating that no parking shall be allowed between the signs and that it is a school bus loading zone.
   (B)   No cars, trucks, or other vehicles shall be parked in the school bus loading zone on school days, except for Bowie County school buses.
   (C)   Any unauthorized vehicle that is parked in the school bus loading zone on a school day shall be in violation of this section, and on conviction for such violation shall be subject to the provisions of § 70.99.  Each separate day or part of a day in excess of four hours that any such vehicle is parked in the school zone shall constitute a separate violation.
   (D)   The Police Department of the City of Wake Village, Texas is authorized to order the removal and impoundment of any vehicle found parked in violation of this section, by driving or ordering the towing of the vehicle.  After removal, the Police Department shall take all reasonable means available to ascertain the name and address of the owner of the vehicle and notify the owner that the vehicle has been removed and impounded and the method of obtaining the vehicle. No police officer, towtruck contractor or other towing contractor shall be liable under this section, or by driving or towing the vehicle away.  The owner and any other person claiming a right to ownership or possession to the vehicle shall be required to pay all towing and impoundment fees in addition to any fines assessed as a condition of obtaining possession of the vehicle.  Any vehicle not claimed from impoundment for a period of ten days shall be considered abandoned under the abandoned vehicle ordinances of this city and statutes of this state and shall be subject to sale under those ordinances and statutes.
