§ 54.21  METER INSTALLATION.
   The Utilities Superintendent of the city is hereby authorized and directed to install such meters on the property of the consumers where the meters may be accessible for reading and repairs at all times, and shall prepare a record card of such meter showing the number of the meter, and the address at which it is installed, the date of the first reading, and he or she shall thereafter read such meter at least once each month and furnish the City Clerk with a record of each reading and the amount due from each consumer for that month.  The City Clerk shall notify the consumer on a standard billing form of the amount due for water between the meter reading dates.
