§ 34.54  FIRE DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.
   The positions of the Fire Department shall consist of the Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Captain and Firefighter. The Fire Chief is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by absolute majority of the City Council. The Fire Chief will appoint all necessary officers within the department subject to approval by the Mayor. Individuals appointed shall hold their offices until their successors are appointed and qualified.
