   (a)    No person shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill any animal or fowl by the use of firearms, bow and arrow, air rifle, or any other means within the corporate limits of the Village, except as permitted in Section 549.08 or except upon the issuance of a permit in accordance with following terms and conditions.
   (b)    Prior to the issuance of such permit the Chief of Police shall make a determination that the applicant for such permit has complied with all laws, rules and regulations of the State of Ohio and the applicant has written permission from the owner(s) of the property for which permission is requested. The total acreage of such property to be hunted upon shall not be less than ten contiguous acres.
   (c)    The Police Chief shall prepare, for the Mayor's approval, the form of the application for the permit required by this section. The permit may impose such reasonable terms and conditions as the Police Chief, in his sole discretion, may require.
   (d)    Upon the issuance of a permit, the Chief of Police shall notify, by regular U.S. mail, all property owners who are contiguous to the property or properties for which a permit has been issued.
   (e)    Whoever violates this section, including the terms and conditions of a permit issued hereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and may be denied any further permits hereunder. (Ord. 1997-21. Passed 1-12-98.)
