§ 97.09 MOTORIZED VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY.
   (A)   (1)   No person shall operate or cause to be operated a public or private motor vehicle or motorcycle on a public right-of-way at any time in such a manner that the sound level emitted by the motor vehicle or motorcycle exceeds the level set forth in Table 4. All measurements shall be taken with a sound level meter meeting the standards of ANSI, or its successor body, for a Type El instrument as a minimum and shall be taken with a fast meter response.
      (2)   This section shall apply to the total noise from a vehicle or combination of attached vehicles and shall not be construed as limiting or precluding the enforcement of any other provision of this code relating to motor vehicle mufflers.
