This chapter shall be known as the “Nuisance Abatement Code” of the city. The purpose of this Nuisance Abatement Code is to protect the public health, safety and welfare and to prevent the blighting of the city's neighborhoods by providing for the removal or repair of insecure, unsafe or structurally defective buildings or other structures or other public nuisances. The Nuisance Abatement Code shall not be construed to prevent the enforcement of other ordinances of the city that provide standards other than as provided in this Nuisance Abatement Code.
