One hundred numbers shall be assigned to each block of 1,000 feet. A number shall be assigned for each ten feet of frontage. On streets running east and west, all even numbers shall be on the north side and all odd numbers shall be on the south side. On streets running north and south, all even numbers shall be on the west side and all odd numbers shall be on the east side. On streets running partly east and west and also partly north and south, the numbers shall be assigned as determined by the City Engineer to be appropriate.
