Each city officer or employee directed or authorized to ask persons to supply information or who in fact does so, shall inform such person as to whether such person is legally required to supply such information or may refuse to do so. This section shall not apply to any officer or employee acting on behalf of an agency or part of an agency that performs as its principal function any activity relating to the enforcement of the criminal laws. The sole intent of this section is to implement R.C. § 1347.05(E).
