§ 35.51 COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSES.
When a city employee is required to possess and maintain a commercial driver's license in order to perform city employment duties, the city shall provide reimbursement to the employee for the costs associated with obtaining an original commercial driver's license. For the renewal of the commercial driver's license, the city shall reimburse the employee for the difference between the cost of a normal driver's license and the cost of the renewal of the commercial driver's license. Any employee required to obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license will be eligible for bi-annual physicals made available and paid for by the city through a facility chosen by the employee's appointing authority. City trucks may be used, subject to the approval of the appointing authority, to practice for and take driving examinations for the required commercial driver's licenses.
