§ 35.30 DEPUTY CLERK OF COUNCIL.
   (A)   A person who has been appointed as a paralegal in the office of Director of Law may also concurrently hold the position of Deputy Clerk of Council, when the Director of Law consents and the City Council has elected the person to the position of Deputy Clerk of Council. As Deputy Clerk of Council, the person shall under the supervision of the Director of Law and the City Council, be responsible for performing certain secretarial and clerical duties which can be done concurrently with duties of also being a paralegal in the Law Department and without significant interference with the paralegal duties. The Deputy Clerk is specifically authorized to receive the filing of documents that are required to be filed with the Clerk of Council, to certify copies of documents on file in the office of the Clerk of Council, to sign documents on behalf of the Clerk when the Clerk is unavailable, and to substitute at Council meetings when the Clerk is absent due to illness or vacation.
   (B)   For performing the duties of Deputy Clerk of Council, the person holding the position shall receive compensation of $100 per month additional to the compensation being received as paralegal.
