§ 33.64 POWERS OF DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE.
   (A)   The Director of Public Service is hereby authorized and empowered to plant or replant trees and shrubs in public ways, streets or alleys in the city, when duly requested by the Shade Tree Commission, but such planting shall only be done upon the joint concurrence of the Director of Public Service and the Shade Tree Commission. The Director of Public Service is further authorized and empowered, when requested by the Shade Tree Commission, to trim, remove and generally care for and maintain trees and shrubs found in public ways, streets and alleys.
   (B)   The Director of Public Service shall have the authority to deny a permit to any person who proposes to plant any tree or shrub upon a public way, street or alley of a size or type unsuitable for the location proposed, or he may deny a permit to any person who proposes to plant any tree or shrub upon a public way, street or alley if the location is found to be unsuitable by the Commission.
