§ 153.45 TRADITIONAL DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL.
   All signs in the Historic District must meet requirements of § 153.44 of this chapter and must be approved through a design review with the Heritage Preservation Commission.
   (A)   General requirements.
      (1)   Total amount of signage allowed per lot/parcel: two square feet of signage per each lineal foot of public frontage for each public frontage with a maximum of 125 square feet per each frontage;
      (2)   Setbacks for freestanding signs: none, but must meet sight visibility triangle requirements for both sign face and sign structure; (See also § 153.28 of this chapter.)
      (3)   Signs prohibited:
         (a)   Dynamic signs and electronic message board;
         (b)   Internal lit cabinet signs;
         (c)   Internal lit channel/can letters;
         (d)   Lighting on portable and yard signs; and
         (e)   Roof signs.
      (4)   Lighting allowed:
         (a)   Exterior/direct lit;
         (b)   Neon (limited, see below);
         (c)   Internal lit 3-D signs;
         (d)   LED (limited, see below);
         (e)   Back lit/halo; and
         (f)   Edge lit.
