The owner of every residential, commercial or industrial structure, whether public or private, shall place house numbers or building numbers, as herein provided, on the structure. This shall not apply to accessory buildings, private garages, barns or other similar accessory buildings or structures used in connection with buildings or permanent structures displaying building numbers.
