(A) The members of the Voorhees Art Commission shall be appointed by the Township Committee. Each member shall be a citizen of the United States of America and a qualified voter of the State of New Jersey. Each member shall be appointed for a term of three years; provided, however, that the schedule of appointments and terms thereof shall be staggered as follows: one member shall be appointed to serve until December 31, 2022; two members shall be appointed to serve until December 31, 2023; and two members shall be appointed to serve until December 31, 2024. Thereafter, each appointment shall be for a three-year term until the appointment and qualification of such member’s successor. A vacancy on the Commission occurring other than by expiration of a term shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment for the remainder of the term of the vacating member.
(B) All members of the Commission shall be residents of the Township. This does not apply to the advisory board of non-voting members.
