The owner, agent, lessee, tenant and/or occupant of every dwelling and other premises shall be provided with one 95-gallon cart by the Township. Additional trash carts are available to the residents at a cost set by the Township.
(A) All receptacles must be placed by the occupant in front of the premises at the curb the evening before, but no later than 6:00 a.m. of the scheduled collection day. Receptacles are to be removed from the curbline the evening of the scheduled collection day.
(B) The resident shall be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the cart. Maintenance (i.e. wheels, lids) will be provided by the Township. If the cart is damaged or destroyed due to negligence or abuse by the resident, costs of repair or replacement shall be assessed to the resident.
(C) The cart is registered to the residence and shall remain registered at the residence it is registered to even though property owners change. The Township reserves the right to inspect the cart at the time of the change of ownership to insure the condition of the cart is acceptable.
(D) Bulk trash will occur the third full week of every month on your trash day. This week may be confirmed by contracting Public Works or reviewing the Township calendar or website. All bulk items shall be placed at curbline the evening before, but prior to 6:00 a.m. of the scheduled day for collection. Bulk items and white goods generated by commercial or professional movers, cleaners, builders or installers shall be removed by private services but in no event shall such bulk items remain at the residence or property for more than 48 hours after receiving due notification.
