§ 31.13 RULES AND REGULATIONS; ACQUISITION OF EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   The Township Committee may prescribe and establish such rules and regulations respecting the Department and its operation and make provisions for the acquisition of such apparatus, equipment and vehicles as it may deem necessary or useful for the Police Department, upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police and the Director of Public Safety.
   (B)   The Township Committee shall, by ordinance, from time to time in its judgment as may seem necessary, adopt and amend the rules and regulations for the government and discipline of the Police Department and members thereof. The rules and regulations may fix and provide for the enforcement of such rules and regulations and the enforcement penalties for the violation of such rules and regulations, and all members of the Police Department shall be subject to such rules and regulations.
   (C)   There is hereby adopted by the Township, for the purposes of establishing rules and regulations for the operation and government of the Police Department, an updated manual entitled “Voorhees Township Department Rules and Regulations.” The aforesaid manual is incorporated by reference in this section, and three copies of the manual are on file in the office of the Clerk.
