The type, capacities, location and layout of a private sewage disposal system shall comply with recommendations of the department of public health of the state of California and the health officer of Tulare County, as determined by the city. No permit shall be issued for any private sewage disposal system requiring subsurface soil absorption capacity where the characteristics of the property do not indicate sufficient soil absorption qualities. No septic tank, cesspool, anaerobic tank or chemical process shall be permitted to discharge to any public sewer or any stream or watercourse. (Ord. 2006-02 (part), 2006: Prior code § 4210)
