A. Construction Of Buildings: No building of any kind may be constructed in the City unless the owner or builder first obtains a building permit from the City. Applications for said permits shall be made in writing and filed with the Zoning Enforcement Officer on forms available at City Hall. (Ord., 6-1-1959; amd. 1981 Code; 2009 Code)
B. Demolition Of Buildings: When any owner of property within the City seeks to remove, demolish or destroy any building or structure located upon such owner's property, said property owner shall first obtain a building permit for such work. This subsection shall apply to the removal of structures which have been damaged by fire, wind or other catastrophe. (Ord., 12-6-1982; amd. 2009 Code)
C. Penalty: Any person violating any provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (2009 Code)
