§ 32.016 SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS; DUTIES.
   The Superintendent of Streets shall have direction and management of the upkeep and repair of the streets and alleys of the city, and shall have supervision over the Street Department employees and equipment. It shall be his duty to see that the streets and alleys and other public places are kept clear of encumbrances and obstructions interfering with the free use of same; to repair, maintain and improve the streets and alleys; to haul and transport any of the city's goods or property; to keep the streets and alleys free from obstruction by trees and other foliage; to remove the leaves and snow from streets and alleys and to do any other things of like nature as shall be assigned him by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
