The Board of Public Works and Safety is authorized to:
(A) Designate and maintain, by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where in its opinion there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway, and at any other place as it may deem necessary.
(B) Establish safety zones of such kind and character and at those places as it may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians.
(C) Mark lanes for traffic on street pavements at those places as it may deem advisable.
