§ 70.65 IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLES; REDEMPTION.
   (A)   Any police officer may move and impound any vehicle which;
      (1)   Constitutes an obstruction to traffic and is unattended;
      (2)   Displays illegal license plates;
      (3)   Violates the equipment provisions of this code; or
      (4)   Is unattended due to the removal of an ill, injured or arrested operator.
   (B)   Any person desiring to redeem an impounded vehicle shall either pay the required fine or post a bond in the amount set by the court. The Police Department, upon proof of right to possession, shall then issue a release form for presentation to the pound operator. The pound operator shall release the vehicle upon receipt of the release form and payment of all towage and storage charges.
