The city employees collecting permit fees as stated in § 96.26 shall give the payer of receipt thereof. That receipt shall be made in triplicate, the original of which shall be given the payer and two copies shall be retained by the employees. The receipt shall indicate the date and hour of issue and the money so collected shall be delivered to the Clerk-Treasurer, within 24 hours of receipt of same, along with a copy of all receipts issued.
