For the purpose of designating directions with reference to the base streets designated in § 97.085, Main Street and all streets parallel thereto shall be referred to as running east and west; and the Wabash River and Park Street and all streets parallel thereto shall be referred to as running north and south. Fairground Avenue shall be considered and numbered as a street running north and south.
