§ 97.085 BASE STREETS; EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   One hundred numbers shall be allowed to each square or block except as hereinafter provided.
   (B)   Main Street shall be the base street at which numbering shall begin on streets that cross the same, and on streets that may parallel streets that cross the same, but do not themselves touch Main Street. The Wabash River, from Willow Street to Scott Street and Park Street, from Scott Street to the city limits, shall be the base streets at which numbering shall begin on streets that parallel Main Street. Numbering shall begin with the odd number one for the first house on the right-hand side at the base street and number two for the first house on the left at the base street, and shall continue with the odd numbers on the right and the even numbers on the left side of the street being numbered to the end of the street.
   (C)   On Eighth Street and streets east and parallel thereto at Hickman Street, 100 numbers shall be dropped, and there shall be no 1100 block on such streets. On Fourteenth Street, and streets east parallel thereto, at Hart Street, 100 numbers shall be dropped and there shall be no 500 block on such streets. From Hart Street north, the two blocks between Eleventh Street and Twelfth Street, on streets parallel with Main Street, 50 numbers shall be allotted to each block, beginning with the number 1101 at Eleventh Street and 1151 at Upper Elizabeth Street. From Swartzel Avenue north, the two blocks between First Street and Second Street, on streets parallel with Main Street, 50 numbers shall be allotted to each block, beginning with 101 at First Street and 151 at Day Street.
