For rental units registered within 30 days of the effective date of Ordinance 27-92, the Rental Housing Officer may grant the following variances under the following terms and conditions if requested by the owner at the time of registration. Upon denial of a request for variance, an appeal may be filed with the Board.
(A) The number of parking spaces to be provided under § 156.38(G) may be reduced to a number determined by the Rental Housing Officer if other adequate parking is provided near the rental unit and parking on the public streets in the vicinity is not unduly crowded.
(B) The requirement that ceilings be 7½ feet tall under § 156.45(E) may be reduced by the Rental Housing Officer to seven feet tall.
