ADOPTING ORDINANCES
ORDINANCE 2007-09
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VILLA HILLS, KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, ADOPTING THE CITY OF VILLA HILLS, KENTUCKY CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS RECENTLY PREPARED BY THE AMERICAN LEGAL PUBLISHING CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Villa Hills in the past has had different companies prepare the City of Villa Hills Code of Ordinances (previously at times called the Villa Hills Municipal Code); and
WHEREAS, there have been some discrepancies in the past in the various codifications; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Villa Hills to retain American Legal Publishing Corporation to update the codification of the city ordinances by, in part, examining the Code of Ordinances for consistency with state law and with one another and revising same to eliminate redundant, obsolete, inconsistent and invalid provisions; and
WHEREAS, the American Legal Publishing Corporation has recently updated the City of Villa Hills Code of Ordinances, which incorporates Kentucky statutory changes and integrates City ordinance changes through and including Ordinance 2007-03.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF VILLA HILLS, KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky Code of Ordinances, as recently prepared by the American Legal Publishing Corporation, is hereby adopted.
SECTION 2: The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky Code of Ordinances is incorporated herein by reference as if fully rewritten.
SECTION 3: All old Villa Hills Municipal Code books shall be replaced by the new City of Villa Hills, Kentucky Code of Ordinances books.
SECTION 4: The invalidity of any section or provision of this Ordinance shall not affect the validity of any other section or provision.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be published by title and summary.
SECTION 6: The foregoing Ordinance was read, passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Villa Hills, Kenton County, Kentucky, meeting in regular sessions on the 18th day of July, 2007 and on the 15th day of August, 2007, with 6 yes votes, 0 no votes, and 0 abstentions, and was thereafter duly approved by the Mayor and ordered to be published.
