§ 30.15  MAYOR; GENERALLY.
   (A)   Election; term of office.  The Mayor shall be elected by the voters of the city at a regular election in even-numbered years for a term of office of four (4) years, which shall begin on the first day of January following his or her election and shall be for four (4) years and until his or her successor qualifies.
   (B)   Qualifications.  The Mayor shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, shall be a qualified voter in the city, and shall reside in the city throughout his or her term of office.

   (C)   Compensation.  The Mayor shall receive compensation from the city in an amount set by ordinance, which may be changed from time to time pursuant to KRS 83A.070.
   (D)   Vacancy.  Vacancies in the Office of Mayor shall be filled pursuant to the procedures set out in KRS 83A.040.
