(A) The City Council has the legal authority to establish rules, regulations and procedures for the use of the city park and park shelters.
(B) The following rental rules and priorities shall be established.
(1) Fees for park shelters that can be reserved during regular hours of operation shall be as follows.
(a) Pavilion #1, Eagles Nest: $25.
(b) Pavilion # 2, Rams Lodge: $25.
(c) Pavilion # 3, Tecumseh Lodge: $25.
(d) Pavilion # 4, Cherokee Lodge: $25.
(2) The rental fee includes any time frame within the available rental hours on a daily basis.
(3) The following rental rules shall be established.
(a) Shelters may be reserved up to one year in advance.
(b) Requests for private use of park shelters should be directed to the city, City Hall at 618-658-5161 or by visiting www.cityofviennail.net/ under the contact us link.
(c) Reservations will occur on a first-come, first-served basis.
(C) An official reservation can be made via the city website, in person or a phone call to City Hall, accompanied by the full rental fee. If sending a check, payment must be received at least five days before the rental date. Reservation inquiries may be made by contacting City Hall at (618) 658-5161. A rental/reservation receipt will be provided to you to confirm your rental/reservation. The city does not post reserved signs at shelters. Please retain your receipt for proof of reservation. Any reservations made before the adoption of this amendment will be honored per the former fee.
