The Superintendent shall be subject to the supervision of the Water and Sewer Committee. The Superintendent shall be appointed by the Mayor, by and with the consent of the City Council and shall hold his or her office until his or her successor shall be appointed and qualified. He or she shall receive such salary as may be provided by resolution of the Council at the time of his or her appointment.
